Living Carpet Museum and Gaidar Village Museum of Local History

About us
We warmly invite you to discover our story, a journey through the living history and traditions of the Gagauz people. In the three halls of our museum, open since 2013, you will find authentic objects, from tools to reconstructed traditional interiors, that tell stories about daily life and local crafts. Then, we will explore the Soviet period through specific objects, and in the last hall, you will admire the creations of contemporary artisans, masterfully woven carpets, and other unique souvenirs. We invite you to touch the art of weaving at the Living Carpet Museum, an experience included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
